Hudson’s Bay Company (“HBC”) is a premier retail operator in North America with a highly successful track record in improving performance and substantially enhancing the consumer experience within its store banners across all channels. HBC was founded in 1670 and is North America’s oldest company. It is publicly traded on the Toronto Stock Exchange (“TSX”) under the ticker HBC. The Company operates more than 460 retail stores throughout Canada and the United States, Germany and Belgium, as well as five licensed international stores. HBC manages approximately 49 million square feet of retail space and employs nearly 66,000 associates worldwide.
HBC oversees a portfolio of iconic retail brands, offering customers a compelling assortment of apparel, accessories, shoes, beauty products and home décor.
Hudson’s Bay is Canada’s most prominent department store focusing on fashion apparel, accessories and home goods. It operates 90 full-line locations, three Hudson’s Bay Home locations, one outlet store and thebay.com.
Lord & Taylor is an upscale specialty-retail department store operating 50 full-line locations primarily in the northeastern and mid-Atlantic United States and lordandtaylor.com.
Saks Fifth Avenue is a luxury department store operating 41 stores in North America (including a flagship store located on Fifth Avenue in New York City), five international licensed stores and saks.com.
Saks OFF 5TH is the fashion outlet of Saks Fifth Avenue, offering luxury-value fashion and accessories through 118 stores in the United States, Canada, and saksoff5th.com. Thirty-two new stores opened in 2016.
Home Outfitters is a Canadian retail home decor chain and Canada’s largest kitchen, bed and bath specialty superstore with 54 locations.
Find @ Lord & Taylor is a new off-price concept catering to a younger demographic, delivering on-trend, in-season product at amazing prices. It operates one store in Paramus, NJ. Additional store openings are scheduled to take place in 2016.
GALERIA Kaufhof is the leading German multi-channel department store, operating 100 locations in prime locations across more than 80 German cities, with flagship stores located in Berlin and Cologne.
Galeria INNO is the only department store operator in Belgium and operates 16 locations across the country, offering customers an assortment of premium products including high-end fashion brands, perfume and accessories.
sportarena is a German athletic footwear and apparel retailer that operates 16 stores across mid-sized cities throughout Germany.

Richard Baker, Governor and Executive Chairman
Richard Baker is a leading North American retail and real estate industry investor and operator, with a proven track record of acquiring, growing and maximizing the value of high potential department stores and their real estate assets. Before assuming leadership of HBC and leading its successful growth strategy, Mr. Baker served for nearly two decades in various roles including ultimately President and Chief Operating Officer of National Realty & Development Corporation (“NRDC“), a real estate development company he led with his father, which is one of the largest owners of shopping centers in the United States. He is actively involved with his alma mater Cornell University, where he currently sits on the Board of Trustees.
Jerry Storch, Chief Executive Officer
Jerry Storch was appointed CEO of HBC in January 2015. His distinguished career has spanned 30 years in retail management and consulting. Mr. Storch is a champion of all-channel offerings, responsible for the successful development and subsequent expansion of online and other digital platforms at both Toys ‘R’ Us, Inc., of which he was Chairman and CEO, and Target, where he served in a series of leadership positions including Vice Chairman. At Toys ‘R’ Us, Inc., Mr. Storch oversaw several strategic acquisitions and its successful expansion into Eastern Europe and China. Mr. Storch received an MBA from Harvard Business School, a JD from Harvard Law School and a Bachelor’s degree from Harvard College.
Paul Beesley, Chief Financial Officer
Paul Beesley was appointed CFO of HBC in June 2014. Prior to working with the Company, Mr. Beesley held senior roles in financial management and strategic development across a range of leading Canada-based companies, most recently as Executive Vice President and CFO of Empire, a corporation with extensive operations in retailing and real estate. He was previously Executive Vice President and CFO of The Globe and Mail Company. Mr. Beesley holds an MBA from St. Mary’s University, Nova Scotia, Canada and a Bachelor’s degree from Dalhousie University, Halifax, Nova Scotia.
