About the HBC Foundation
The HBC Foundation is dedicated to improving lives by enhancing physical and mental health through education, access, research, and empowerment. Established in Canada in 2005, and in the U.S. in 2017, the HBC Foundation has dispersed more than $92 million in cash and in-kind donations to Canadian charities.
In 2017, HBC announced a philanthropic focus on mental health, with the HBC Foundation in Canada and the U.S. joining forces to raise $5 million over the next three years to support mental health programs that fund research and improve access to care in North America. The foundation partners with leading mental health organizations, including the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI), The JED Foundation, and Bring Change to Mind in the United States, and Children’s Aid Foundation and the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health in Canada. Additionally, HBC provides our corporate associates with access to world-class workplace programs.
The HBC Foundation in Canada is one of the country’s leading charitable organizations, and continues to improve the lives of Canadians through existing charitable commitments to the Canadian Olympic Foundation, Canadian Paralympic Foundation, the Breast Cancer Research Foundation, and Look Good Feel Better.
The HBC Foundation is Canadian Registered Charity and a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization in the U.S.
