HBC Foundation’s HEADFIRST Program
One in five teens and young adults lives with a mental health condition, according to the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI). Early identification of mental health needs and the right support are critical to ensuring that everyone has an equal chance to grow into healthy, productive adults.
To reach that goal, the HBC Foundation’s HEADFIRST program is dedicated to supporting initiatives for teens and young adults during a period that is critical for mental health support and services.
The HBC Foundation’s HEADFIRST program is based on four key pillars:
- Education: Reducing stigma through education, conversation and understanding
- Research: Investing in mental health research organizations
- Access: Creating accessibility to treatment programs and healthcare on the local, regional and national level
- Empowerment: Providing our HBC associates with access to world class workplace programs
