Hudson’s Bay Company Contributes $25,000 to Lac-Megantic Relief Efforts; Expands Donate Your Hudson’s Bay Rewards Points Campaign


HBC continues its tradition of supporting communities in need

TORONTO, July 10, 2013 – Hudson’s Bay Company announced today that it will contribute funds raised through its “Donate your Hudson’s Bay Rewards Points” campaign to relief efforts for those in the Lac-Mégantic community affected by the tragic train derailment, explosions and devastating fire. Canadians can lend their support by donating their Hudson’s Bay Rewards points in Hudson’s Bay and Home Outfitters stores across Quebec, Ontario and Nova Scotia from now until August 5, 2013. Customers and Associates can also donate online through by clicking on the “Donate to Charity/Community” link. HBC will convert all points collected to cash and in addition will contribute directly to the Canadian Red Cross fund Explosion Lac-Mégantic for a total donation of $25,000.
