Lord & Taylor Charity Day to Benefit Cancer Support Organizations

NEW YORK (Sept. 22, 2015) – Lord & Taylor is proud to announce that its fall 2015 Charity Day will take place on Saturday, Oct. 3, and honor cancer survivors and their support communities. All 50 Lord & Taylor stores and will participate in the effort to raise funds for national and local cancer support organizations.

Charity Day: Let’s Do Something Good Together is an all-day shopping event that this season will include a fashion presentation celebrating the spirit and beauty of those who have survived cancer, modeling looks from Lord & Taylor’s fall fashion collections. Additionally, stores will offer special discounts, local entertainment, gifts with purchase opportunities, activities, refreshments and so much more!

This season’s New York flagship charity partner is American Cancer Society—the nationwide, community-based, voluntary health organization dedicated to eliminating cancer as a major health problem by preventing cancer, saving lives, and diminishing suffering from cancer, through research, education, advocacy, and service.

With the purchase of a $5 ticket, customers will receive a storewide savings pass of 20% off regular and sale-priced items, and 10% off cosmetics and fragrances, plus two 30% bonus coupons for single-item discounts (for use on Oct. 3 only; some exclusions apply). Tickets are available for purchase now at any Lord & Taylor store, or from a participating charity. All proceeds from ticket sales will benefit the participating cancer-focused non-profit organizations.

Customers can also receive 25% off online purchases of $200 or more, or 20% off online purchases up to $199.99. 1% of the net proceeds from on Oct. 3 will benefit the American Cancer Society (some exclusions apply).

Each Lord & Taylor store will partner with cancer organizations in its local community. For example, the Mizner Park store in Boca Raton, FL will support Making Strides Against Breast Cancer, among others; the Burlington Mall location in Massachusetts will support Making Strides Against Breast Cancer, Relay for Life, and more; and, the Rockaway Townsquare store in New Jersey will also support Relay for Life, among others.
