The Big Day Has Arrived: Kleinfeld Hudson’s Bay Opens its Doors
TORONTO, May 14, 2014 – The wait is finally over for fashion-loving Canadian brides-to-be. Kleinfeld Hudson’s Bay is now open at Hudson’s Bay’s flagship Queen Street location. As the exclusive Kleinfeld store in Canada, Hudson’s Bay has created a 20,000 square foot, highly luxurious bridal salon that is a mecca for all things bridal, bringing the world-class Kleinfeld experience to Canadian soil for the first time.
“Kleinfeld Hudson’s Bay is the new standard in bridal retail in Canada. We’ve raised the bar by delivering unprecedented access to world-class designer gowns, the highest standard of service excellence, all in an absolutely stunning environment,” says Liz Rodbell, President of HBC Department Store Group. “The opening of Kleinfeld Hudson’s Bay firmly establishes Hudson’s Bay as the only full-service bridal destination in the country, offering brides a full selection of gowns, fashion, jewelry, gifts and more.”
“There will be upwards of 165,000 weddings across the country this year alone,” continues Ms. Rodbell. “Hudson’s Bay is already Canada’s leading bridal registry destination serving more than 50,000 clients annually, so the launch of Kleinfeld Hudson’s Bay is a natural fit for us and will help us serve our loyal customer base even better. We couldn’t be more excited.”
“This is a thrilling day for our team at Kleinfeld,” says Ronald Rothstein, Co-Owner of Kleinfeld Bridal. “We are the largest luxury bridal retailer in the world and our partnership with Hudson’s Bay allows us to bring the most unique shopping experience for Canadian brides and their families, and provides them with the finest selection of exclusive designer wedding gowns anywhere.”
Kleinfeld Hudson’s Bay customers will have access to more than 600 gowns, representing over 50 brands, including more than 50 dress samples in plus sizes.
Honouring Canada’s fashion talent, Kleinfeld Hudson’s Bay houses gowns created by renowned Canadian bridal designers, such as Ines Di Santo, Rivini and Romona Keveza, as well as established Canadian designers that have never played in the bridal market before like Greta Constantine and David Dixon, and new talent like Christopher Paunil who has created a capsule collection focused on the Asian and South Asian bride. In addition to Canadian designers, Kleinfeld Hudson’s Bay offers gowns by internationally celebrated bridal designers including Pnina Tornai, Peter Langner and Mark Zunino, as well as bridal wear by world-famous designers such as Oscar de la Renta, Carolina Herrera, J. Mendel, Naeem Khan, Reem Acra, Dennis Basso and Zuhair Murad. Other offerings include custom stationery from Kleinfeld Paper, bridesmaid and flower girl dresses, shoes, belts, veils, headpieces, lingerie and a Maison Birks boutique for jewelry. There is also a tremendous assortment of gifts for groomsmen and attendants. The company’s commitment to service excellence and pioneering retail leadership is further evidenced by the addition of a wedding concierge – a “first” among bridal and gift registry retailers.
